PRE-SEASON NEWSLETTER FROM EL-PRESIDENTY

Hope you all have had a good xmas break and are ready for an action packed and very full diary of which the first, and most important is the training day at knockhill on the 4th of March. Last year was for myself a great season and I was at both bsb and moto gp rounds, which you can all get involved in and I also travelled to Croft for NEMCRC meetings which I lapped up. The Scottish marshals and the NEMCRC marshals are more and more travelling to East Fortune and Croft to help man the meetings. If you have not done this yet you will enjoy both racing during the day and the socialising at night, if you choose to camp. It does have to be said that the weather last year was on our side which makes the difference. I hope to see old and new faces this season! You may also have noticed that the SMMA now have a sponsor. I have managed to set up a deal with builder's supply company Buildbase. Over the next few seasons they have agreed to provide the SMMA with Proban overalls and waterproofs and you never know we may even get a little more out of them. This has only been possible because of the high reputation of the SMMA and I hope this will continue. Watch this space for more details as they become availiable.
